 MY INFLUENCES and INSPIRATION
Katherine Kelly Lang, actress, athlete and accomplished horsewomen

Meet my inspirations for Lady Cat, Katherine Kelly Lang. When my daughter started college in 1990, I decided to follow up on a dream of my own and wrote a book. It was a historical romance novel about a spitfire outlaw named Cat and an English nobleman named Miles.

The heroine of my story, Lady Cat (as well as her twin, Victoria), was inspired by Katherine Kelly Lang, an actress who has been on the CBS daytime drama 'The Bold and The Beautiful' since 1987. Besides her beautiful blond looks, Ms. Lang is an Katherine Kelly Lang, my inspirationaccomplished athlete and horsewoman. I also liked her interaction with her on-screen lover portrayed by actor Ronn Moss. Together they depicted the ultimate of soul mates.

To me, they were romance incarnate. From the first time I began forming the story in my mind, Katherine Kelly Lang was Cat and Ronn Moss was Miles. I had admired their performances and their on screen chemistry so much, it was easy for them to inspire me into creating these characters. Katherine Kelly Lang and Ron Moss

I wrote that story and it was published by Kensington in May 2000 under the name "Destiny’s Lady". But one book with these wonderful characters was not enough. The sequel "Forever And Beyond" followed in January 2001. But if two books were good, eight stories were even better! My tale of Lady Cat had become a saga.

Is it any wonder why I’ve added this lovely lady’s name on the dedication page in several of my books and thanked her for being such a help to me.

Thank you for being my inspiration, Katherine Kelly Lang.
