Climbing the Dunes
Everybody wants to climb the Sleeping Bear Dunes, so come to the Dune Climb located north of Empire on M-109.
Climbing the dunes is great exercise and there is a beautiful view of Glen Lake from the top.
Now these are some serious sand dunes. You're thinking I'm just BS'ing with the camera, hah!
These dunes are incredibly steep, they will take your breath away.
The angle of descent is more than casual more like intimidating.
It is a long way down, and much much longer back up.
...of course it's fun going down!
If you make it back up, you'll have something to talk about forever, if not, well, others will.
Swimming to Wisconsin has to be easier than climbing back up this dune.
